In 2003, we purchased a Coachman Sportscoach Elite motorhome and in 2007, the undercarraige was totally rusted out. We had a $5000 repair bill in SD, many miles from home, and were assured by certified RV mechanics at Freightliner that they'd never seen "such a mess"". When we got home, we were told it would cost about $50,000 to make the repairs need to the Sportscoach Elite on a Freightliner chassis/. Neither company took responsibility due to the "age" of the rig and the warranty expiration?. They stated our photos proved the rust was caused by road salt and was our fault! Due to the safety concerns and the amount to repair our rig, we were forced to surrender it.. We're unable to retire and travel as we dreamed of doing;. Filing a lawsuit would take 4 to 7 years to resolve|. Corporate America has us "little people" in the position they want us in?. Coachman has been bought out, so where does that leave consumers? Their response will be "Who cares!" There is so much more to this story and not enough space to tell it. Sad! 1289748
