The issue was resolved by Coachman to my satisfaction. After many phone calls I was able to get to a Coachman representative that was empowered to make the right decision to correct the issues.

No. No motorless RV specific lemon law in my state.

And I did discuss this with an applicable lawyer. This has been a very difficult lesson learned.

I have a 2018 coachman clipper 17bh. Where do I start. First the water heater would not light unless the access door is open. The microwave is loose in the cabinet causing the face plate to crack, kitchen sink leaked luckily into a plastic bin under to counter. The wall panel in the bathroom is coming loose. Folding dinning table door fell of. Back bunk storage area locking pin missaligned. Several of the trim panels are coming loose. One of the outside running lights is coming off. The shower head does not turn completely off when showering. There is a parasitic draw from the battery, either electric awning, or the refrigerator. One of the caps for the black tank vent is loose. A *** is very loose on the stove top. Most of these I have fixed myself, but several items I am taking in to get fixed. (Warranty) Mainly the issues that will cost me money. We have had our camper for four months now, and it has about 2500 miles on it. Otherwise it pulls great, is comfy to sleep and eat in. Great looking and fun to use. I just am always on the lookout for the next issue I will have to fix.

RVs are not built from cast iron but there systems are well thought out. Quality control on build is their major malfunction.

These things require owners that have somewhat of a grounding in mechanics because a lot of the trouble is just common sense issues. Interior appointments are possibly as cheep as you can get and you should see that right off and not be upset when it falls apart. RV manufactures should be held more accountable considering the price they demand. I have a 3 year old APEX camper and the asdale composite on the front face is delaminating. No water intrusion just bubbling up .

MANUFACTURE DEFECT but i already know its not their problem RIGHT.? In spite of all we have fun in it but beware of the salesman that says (THESE ARE REALLY WELL BUILT) there not even close.

RVs are a very common topic of complaint on this site. I've never owned one and don't like to travel, but what I have observed is that "too many cooks spoil the pot" ... the chassis comes from one manufacturer, accessories from a variety of subcontractors, and responsibility for overall function passed like a hot potato from one group to the next.

Don't buy with a chevrolet drivetrain

Coachman Leprechaun 260 DH 260 is a great looking unit. But the Chevrolet 4500 Express does not seem powerful enough to carry this unit. I have been trying to get this vehicle repaired since the day i bought it ( oct. of 2017, and this is July 19, 2018 ). It seems there is a "shudder or miss" in the engine as you accelerate so the Warranty dept. of GM recommended twelve Chevrolet dealerhips, all but two refused to even look at this motorhome saying "it is too large for their lift". The other two Chevy dealers said "they know there is a problem, but don't how to correct it". They said "it is just the nature of the beast and i should learn to live with it". I found a repair shop who's moto is "we fix anything except a broken heart". I called the warranty dept. and ask if i could have them repair the vehicle and was told "NO, it has to be a Chevy dealer only or we won't pay for it". My advice to those thinking of buying a motorhome with a Chevy drive train, "DON'T"! I feel as though i just spent $75,000 on something that is going to be irritating to drive!!!! Also think of selling it; who is going to buy it with a "shutter in the engine"

Agree, stay away from GM engine and chassis. I had the Ford E450 Leprechaun.

The E450 Ford Chassis is far superior and Ford serviced my coach at my local dealership and on a trip to Florida my alternator went out in Pensacola. Not only did the local Ford dealership service my alternator that went out Friday afternoon they provided me an electrical hook up and a free loaner car for the weekend and fixed it first thing Monday morning. Also, I had the Ford power stroke 7.3 L which was an awesome engine with plenty of power and torque. I sold my coach a few years back and looking to buy another one.

I’ve sent a request to coachman and Ford to place the new 3.0 L power stroke and new Ford heavy duty 10 speed transmission in the E450. This new motor has more horsepower and virtually the same torque of my 7.3 L engine. This new diesel is a V6 and weighs 400 pounds less so it should fit into the E450 platform.

With my 7.3 L my 30 foot coachman leprechaun average 14 mpg. With a 3.0 L and 10 speed it should achieve 14 to 19 mpg’s.

On a 4 year old trailer I have major delamination of nose section which is not cause by a water leak. Both Rustons RV and Coachman don’t want to help. Find it funny you spend so much $ for poorly constructed trailer.

I also have delamination on the nose of my camper and it’s not caused by water. The model is an apex by coachmen.

The outside material is asdale and supposed to be tough enough for anything so went the bs. This coach has only been used a few times and has been kept covered warranty is gone but this should be a warranty problem it’s a manufacture defect in material.coach Warrantees are a joke anyways

Shower pan does not need calking, the pan runs up the wall so the wall over laps the pan by several inches. leaking problem occurs from the drain or when the water runs down the wall it runs on top of the pan and onto the floor.

I ran a bead of calk from the corner of the wall to the pan to stops this. Also the floor is so week when you steep into it it flexes and my also cause the drain to leek I am only 180 lbs and had to add support under the pan. The drain is a plastic fitting that comes loose as you move the rv around.

Most RV's are built poorly with next to no quality. Good luck!

Any RV purchase should come with a 30 day money back guarantee , plus 10% for inconvenience, posted as a cash bond with a Title Company. One experience with the US Amaerican RV industry makes one appreciate the Chinese quality prices.

Take some time to proofread your comments before you submit them. Even if your concerns are legitimate, your inability to string together a semi-coherent post with proper spelling is very evident. Your comments will be better received if the readers don't readily jump to the conclusion that you "skipped" a proper education.
