Unidentified alarm problem

Intermittent alarm that has the sound of a smoke alarm with a low battery. Checked smoke alarm and replaced battery. If not on land power if I turn anything on in the camper it intermittently goes off and last for only about 10 seconds.. Last weekend while camping and it was connected to land power the same alarm went off at 2:30am for about 60 seconds. Have brought to technician and he replaced my RV battery but did not solve problem. No one seems to be able to tell me what the problem is.

2012 Coachman RV peeling interior furniture

We have a 2012 class C Coachman leprechaun with 36234 miles (ca. 58,313 km). The material on the captain chairs , theater seats and the dinette cushions are peeling and it looks awful. We already had to remove the theater seats and replace them for this reason. This is going to cost a total of $3000.00 dollars.

Cheap furniture

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We bought a 2012 Mirada brand new and after the 2 years upholstery started to peel. No help frm dealer in getting replacements. I had the passenger and driver seats reupholstered at a cost of $700.00. Now dinette and jack knife sofa need to be done. So mad about this but nothing else to do but pay the cost to have reupholstered. Please be aware of the cheap leather used on this Motor home.

Something always is broken or not working!

Coachmen RV - Something always is broken or not working!

Since I purchased the unit 370 FL 2019 model. This is what I have dealt with,TV replaced, DVD player replaced, AC unit replaced, the black tank flush out system does not work, replaced the propane regulator, the lights over dining table did not work, the refrigerator will not switch over to propane when electric is disconnected, the sprayer on kitchen sink does not operate properly, the 2nd gray tank sensor does not operate.

Now my furnace will not fire up but blower works, the response I received from Coachman service manager is as follows: They are hand made and are recreational vehicles. They do occasionally have issues. that why we give a 1 year warranty! WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN?

What I have listed as issues is more than occasionally having an issue!!!!!!! Who pays for my time to get repaired? Who will reimburse me for taking it to repair facility? If proper quality inspection was taking place this may not be an issue.

SO WHO PAYS ME FOR MY TIME OFF TO GET FIXED??

I'm doing your work for you. So do I get a rebate here to make up for my lost time!!!

Peeling furniture

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We have a 2012 Mirada with junk furniture. I have had both front seats re upholstered at a cost of $800.00.

Cheap leather started to peel about 1 yr after we purchased. Now I have to have the sofa done. I am embarrassed to have anyone inside. Looks terrible.

Going to cost over $1000.00 to get upholstered.

Coachmen has been no help at all. Not taking any responsibility for problem.

User's recommendation: Make sure upholstery is not the tan fake leather.

I also have a 2012 Mirada. Furniture started peeling after about 1 year.

I had both drivers and passenger seats re upholstered. $400.00 cost also. Just got the rest of the coach done this past week. Sofa and all trim on dining set.

$1200.00 cost. I was also embarrassed to have anyone inside. And when you sat on the sofa the peeling fake leather got on your cloths.

Looks great now but at cost. I did contact Coachmen this past month and was told in so many words to bad.

2020 Coachman T326BHDSLE plumbing issues, flooding and poor construction

Updated by user May 19, 2020

Full update to follow with pictures!***Spoiler Alert*** Not a damn thing has been done to resolve even a single issue in this utterly defective P.O.S! The situation is getting worse by the day as this BRAND NEW 2020 COACHMAN (THAT HAS NEVER SEEN THE ROAD POST-DELIVERY) CONTINUES TO FALL APART AND FAIL!

Our temporary solution to the dire and unexpected circumstances we (Wife and 2 children) found ourselves in, resulting from dishonest/fraudulent home sellers and a grossly negligent home inspector is proving to be the last mistake we'll make before inevitably becoming homeless. Praying the attorney can pull a rabbit out of his hat and force the hand of Coachman/Forest River, Stoltzfus Rv's Inc (Adamstown, PA), or both, before the RV becomes completely unsuitable and can no longer meet our needs.Full update to follow (I've learned it's best to ration the aggravation rather than let it fully consume me in one sitting)

Original review Mar 11, 2020
We took ownership of this new Coachman on October 31, 2019. We have traveled 0 (ZERO) miles. It was delivered and professionally set up and has not been moved since. Since taking ownership, both bathrooms have flooded multiple times due to defective pex connections. The cabinetry and trim has begun to delaminate. The tank sensors in ALL 4 TANKS (2 gray and 2 black) are defective despite following treatment instructions, etc. The main AC unit is not functioning properly and won't shut off at thermostat setting. Window tracks have been broken since day 1. Molding is coming off throughout the entire RV. The door knobs don't cover the holes they are cut through (despite several adjustments) At this point, I could never imagine taking this POS on the road! My family and I depended on this to get us through months of unexpected construction needed on newly purchased home. We bought brand new so we wouldn't have any other issues arise while we dealt with our home ordeal. This purchase had only added to the nightmare!!!

I am very disappointed in your product 2016 Freedom Express Blast 271 BL. The front composite all season panel is warped to extreme! What type of warranty do you have on this 4 season RV? After one year there is not any warranty. So you have a deformed trailer that isn't sell able and you’re a fool for buying an inferior product with no quality control. screws were missing and caulking was not adequately applied. These overlooked issues caused this damage.

Big Piece of Junk

Coachmen RV - Big Piece of Junk

We bought a 2018 Coachmen Apex 191 RBS Travel Trailer after dealer prep and them finding that the awning had pin holes in it. We take it home.

Our first night out we had to take it back to have the new awning put on and a ADA residential toilet put in. Then we went back the following weekend to bring in back home. They put a friction bar sway control on it when we to ownership. There was issues which made it worse so we purchased another sway control and as time went by and after using it only three times in 2018 we had to take it in for about a dozen things that broke or came apart as well as the frame is all rusty.

I thought it suppose to powder coated. Fast forward June 9th 2019 we go on our first of the year camping trip for one night. Being that the bed is very uncomfortable I decided to convert the dinette to a bed. After a good night rest I went to get up and boom.

One of the brackets (strip of wood) that holds the table in place broke causing it to collapse with me on it (safety issue). This time I decided to fix it myself. This trailer is the worse piece of junk I've ever seen.

Normally stuff like mentioned above happens older units. We paid $21000 for this thing and will be stuck with it for 7 years or until it is paid off.

Disappointed in quality of our camper

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Purchased our Coachmen Catalina destination camper in 2015. Within a few months the converter went, had that repaired under warranty. Just before the warranty expired the outside electrical outlet quit working. Then the closet doors in the bedroom won't slide. Called the dealer we got it from and they were no longer in the camper business. It still does not work. The awning motor quit . We now have a very soft floor in part of the galley that could open up if stepped on. We are doing our best to not do that. To top this all off my husband has cancer and will be starting treatments. We cannot afford all of these repairs. We are very disappointed with the quality of this Coachmen. Thank you for reading my complaints.
