Poor response to calls on warranty issues.

Had motor home one month, and the slide out needs parts to operate right. Two weeks later still waiting for Forrest River to give ok on the warranty work so the dealer can get the parts.

User's recommendation: Poor customer service.

Drifting

We left the lot and got on the interstate. The coachmen pursuit is vertically unstable and drifts out of the lane if a minivan or larger passes . The steering is loose and counter steering constantly makes for a poor driving experience. Finding a service center near Ft. Lauderdale is next to impossible for our brand new motor home.

Side delamination!

The sides of the RV delaminate. Coachman knows this and I see it on many of their coaches. Coachman should address it and fix the issue on previous models !

Warranty problems

I bought a coachman and N0VA RB 10 days ago. The shower does not drain. Where can I get this warranty work done? Theyre telling me in the state of Texas you have to pay me after I pay. Is this correct? Where can I go. Im very upset. Forest river will not answer their telephones. I have left several messages and no one calls back. Ann

User's recommendation: Don’t buy coachman.

Carpet on ceiling

. It has been a wonderful coach but the glue from the ceiling is ugly and stained It is is showing through the carpeted ceiling. Repair place said it is the glue used under the carpet. It is a coachman Santana 1996 diesel pusher. It does not have a slide. Is there anything to fix this? Will paint work? I hate going in it because it looks like we have a million leaks. My phone number is 404 693 ****. email sarigoldman@***.com I would appreciate any help you can give me. Sari Goldman

Lack of response from my dealer

2018 coachman hard side we have had a little more than one year. Overall a decent unit but the sky lights leak in heavy rain and the lift rods are digging into the sidewalls on all four corners .

I custom ordered a 2014 Coachmen Mirada 35BH. Very well taken care of and not quite 6,900 miles on the vehicle. Sofa, Captain Chairs, and Dinette Booth started peeling terribly in fall of 2019. Waiting to hear back from Coachmen regarding my message left with the...

Coachmen RV - I see a lot of complains, I was happy at first with our OPEN TRAIL bought used 2012, looked in great shape.
just as we were about to leave for a weeks vacation, we filled the watertank, 5 minutes later, a lot of noise....then the tank, which is located between and above the axels, dropped down 6 inches. We spent quite a bit of time checking underneath, found 2 possibilities;...

Information

caI have a friend who had his furniture reupholster, from pealing leather. His motorhome was a few years out of warranty. I have had good luck getting things fixed at the factory in Middlebury, In. Make a appointment, and take a vacation and go to the factory. Free campground while you are there. They can fix anything at the factory, including replacing roofs. Here are a couple phone numbers to get your problems fixed. Tim Buss 574-825-**** warranty mgr. class a Nate Hedges 574-825 **** - repair supervisor- appointments Nate can fix a lot of problems over the phone, he makes the appointments, and they are 1-2 months out. Busy place.

User's recommendation: call the factory.

Slide info

Funny I only talked to a operator after many many unanswered phone calls to get a simple answer that the dealer could not even answer but it's on you tube an they DO NOT SHOW WHERE THIS SLIDE MODULE IS that resets an diagnostics or even releases the slides to be manually push back in. All I want to KNOW is where is it at so can check my slides if need to having a problem. If anyone can help I would appreaciate it we love our 2020 Leprechaun 298kb

Furnace Failure

Two year old furnace failed. Freedom Express 2018, 276 RKDS Still under warranty. The unit was just set up on our permanent seasonal site so moving it would be difficult. The dealership was very helpful showing me how to remove the furnace on a newer ,similar model. Very tight fit. They would replace the failed computer card. Easy solution Poor design and installation. I am willing to bet the furnace was installed and then the walls and framing were installed around it. Then someone in the brain trust remembered that it has to be serviced so the return air opening was cut just large enough, about 1/8" larger that the physical dimensions of the furnace ( I measured). Difficult to disassemble . Ducts and gas was removed but power and thermostat wiring is impossible to access. Seems to be hardwired to the unit. Spoke to factory. They insist there is a plug. Not to be seen and even if there was one no way to access it. The furnace can be pulled forward to within 6-8 inches of the opening . The power and thermostat wires prevent it from being pulled any closer. Will now have a local RV service agency figure out how to do this. Looking at a $500.00 bill. This is second Coachman and I'm really disappointed. Wood chips and sawdust inside of everything including the light fixtures. Wiring is a mess as many wires cross between each other. Instead of tied off in a harness is it is left hanging. After transporting the unit we still wind up with sawdust in the shower. If I had employees doing this type of work for me they would all be looking for a new place to work. Just to qualify my observations. I am a registered Professional Engineer with 40 years of experience in the design of HVAC and temperature control systems. So I do have some idea of what I am looking at. This is not a reflection of my dealership as they have been very helpful and are as perplexed and frustrated as me. Would we purchase another Coachman or Forest River product? At this point I doubt it.

User's recommendation: Check accessibility of equipment. Open all panels for equipment access. If you see mangled wires and lots of sawdust you may want to question the workmanship.

7 times to fix is enough

We bought a 2019 coachman, and for a year we have had nothing but problems. Propane Leak, window leak, cable wired wrong, I had heat strips installed, and they rewired to bypass it and use propane, stove never worked, awning lights were replaced (didn't work), and when they were changed out, they caught fire (had to get electrician to cut because it was a live wire running into the trailer), I had to turn off all propane because my oven, though it had never worked, somehow blew up. Sent all the emails, pictures, every correspondence to the Attorney generals division consumer division. That is still ongoing. I formally asked 2 times for arbitration and 2 times ignored.

User's recommendation: Do not purchase anything made by Forest River. They are only intrested in money, not the customer.

I bought the 2016 Mirada. I have called the dealer, I have called coachmen about the peeling problem. My RV has under 20,000 miles (ca. 32,187 km) and the interior looks as if it has a million miles. The captains chair the chair with the ottoman the dinette seats, the jackknife sofa, and the trims are all peeling horribly. Coachmen stated they will have someone reach out to me, that was three weeks ago.

User's recommendation: don't buy coachmen.

Unidentified alarm problem

Intermittent alarm that has the sound of a smoke alarm with a low battery. Checked smoke alarm and replaced battery. If not on land power if I turn anything on in the camper it intermittently goes off and last for only about 10 seconds.. Last weekend while camping and it was connected to land power the same alarm went off at 2:30am for about 60 seconds. Have brought to technician and he replaced my RV battery but did not solve problem. No one seems to be able to tell me what the problem is.
