DO NOT PURCHASE A COACHMEN/FOREST RIVER PRODUCT! We purchased a brand new 2017 Coachmen Freelander.

After a few months of ownership we recognized a water leak… on a rainy day we discovered a puddle of water in the overhead bed of the class C camper. We put in the shop and the service department was shocked at what they found. Insulation in the camper was soaked, the upper bed compartment and walls were warped. We expect the underlying frame and wall materials have been absorbing water since we took it off the lot.

Coachmen’s response… we’ll keep you informed of repair progress. REALLY? Coachmen sold us a faulty product and all they can do is keep us updated on repair progress? We put our life savings into this purchase, only to discover the damage caused by a faulty manufacture will wind up costing us over $15K in value..

and all Coachmen can offer is to keep up updated on repairs. They responded to our social media posts with lip service... in an effort to keep us quiet.

They boast they stand behind their quality products BEFORE you purchase the camper, but offer nothing once they have sold you a faulty product. STEER CLEAR OF PURCHASING A COACHMEN/FOREST RIVERS PRODUCTS!

Review about: 2017 Coachmen Rv Freelander 31Bh Rv.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $10000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Purchasing a brand new defective camper.

That is good information. I am looking at a 2018 Coachmen Concord 300TS.

Someone has shared with me there is a fiberglass problem with the newer Coachmens - I am trying to find out if the issue is real or fabricated. Thank you

we own a 2017 chaperrel and have fiberglass crack 4 times in the same area. Midstate is fixing the problem so far.

Also the frig is coming loose from the wall. Midstate is saying the slide is moving to much going down the road, yes but apparently too much to cause so much damage.

They braced the slide floor but didn't help.So frustrated with forest River and Coachman products. Will never buy another
