Coachmen RV - Water leaks and doors falling off hinges
I have a 2013 Coachman Ruby I bought brand new. I have had nothing but troubles with it.
Didn't get 3000 miles and was in a rain storm and noticed the floor was wet at rear entertainment center. That ended up being a missing guard underneath that allowed water to be thrown up by the wheels and under the slide. I have had EVERY door fall off the hinges, They use a press plastic insert for the screws. I always use Jet glue (a drop at each insert) to fix and no more problems after that.
Second day I had it, the shower leaked and ran down the stairs into the kitchen everywhere. That was a broken faucet inside the wall. Stereo quit at 13 mo. Moldings were coming off, Nail holes everywhere.
Bought this in my home town 2300 miles from where I live now while on a vacation with my puller. When I had problems I called the factory service rep and was told that it was my fault for not buying local. I saved enough for the trip to get it and more. He also told me "it is a mobile home you know and vibration from the road causes problems, live with it".
When I tried to get things fixed the first thing I have always been asked is "did you buy it here". when I tell them no they won't work on it and tell me I should have bought it local. I did find one dealer about 75 miles from me that is great, and works on it for me. When everything is working and fixed this is a beautiful, comfy trailer.
But I will never buy another coachman, and since they are owned by Forest River I will not buy any product from them either.
Sometimes I think this is a FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily) Because I do work on it daily. Lost 30 to 40 screws on the road.
Reason of review: Almost all of the above.
Monetary Loss: $50000.
Preferred solution: Just wnat people to read my statement..

I bought a 2013 Coachmen Brookstone last year. Though it was used, it was supposed to have been in good shape.
I have had non-stop problems: broken grey tank valve; broken bathroom vent; non-working speakers; broken shower drain line; leaky toilet; non-working pilot on stove; slide-out gear problem. The list grows every month, but I only have the most crucial items fixed, as I opted not to buy an extended warranty.
Very disappointed in this brand! Like others on this Pissed Consumer site, I won't ever buy another Forest River product.
